In this episode Kim and I talk with Dr. Jena Gatses about mental framework and unlocking human potential. Dr. Jena seeks to understand what the human brain is holding on to as far as crutches or biases and unlock their physical potential.

Understanding a lot about the human body…

I’ve studied health and fitness my entire life. I went to school for exercise science and before school. I was even a physical therapy tech. I would follow the therapist and do the exercises with all the patients. And I was a personal trainer for a while with, you know, basically extreme injuries and spinal cord injuries and things like that.

I like to think through how to train people in a way that’s gonna benefit them, but not, you know, hurt them or  cause them to regress. So I studied exercise science. And then I went to grad school for physical therapy. But I’ve always had an open mind to study everything related to the human body because the human mind is so powerful.

And A lot of what we do is controlled by our psychology. So if you don’t understand how to get things through to someone, you, you can’t really teach them anything. So just understanding a lot about the human body, human being, and how to change things within our lives the most efficient way possible.
